Kavya announces one morning .
With whom ??
Santhosh ofcourse!
The lunch gang members are shocked in excitement .
Her parents agreeing all of a sudden has given us a shock (Good one of course )
But at the same time slightly disappointed.
Why you may ask…
Every single day the chapathi , puliyogare , cucumbers , tomatos go down our throat hearing Kavya and santhosh stories.
How her parents are trying to get all the gowda’s on the planet to woo their “forever-on-diet daughter” to how skillfully she is dodging all their attempts.
How she loves shopping for black bathroom tiles with her would be in laws for the new house to her attempts to convince her friends dad to persuade her dad that santhosh is the perfect one for kavya.
We all smile , laugh and enjoy these stories every single day and look forward to it as much as we do to anusha ‘s yum tiffin . We can’t have enough of it.
But the news we received on dec 9th morning has given us a feeling of nostalgia.
It’s great no doubt on that , but maybe a little of bit of drama and action would have made it a sure shot entry in the box office!!So finally Kavya Gowda will be introducing her parents to her future in laws during santhosh’s house warming ceremony which is happening the next day. The lunch gang can barely contain their excitement on the grand finale (We were invited to witness this occasion) .
Why?We are getting to see all the actors , villains , supporting actors of kavya’s story the next day.
Dec 10th morning was one of the most colorful days BigCity had witnessed.
Raksha wore a salwar ( You may think wats the big deal… but wat if I say we are seeing her for the first time in one )
Anu was looking drop dead gorgeous with a pretty chudidhar and a green bindi.
Sonia was another beautiful spell to cast your eyes on.:D
Neetha came with a dhinchak salwar and a ching ching chappal.
Thus by noon Lunch gang members set sail in two bikes to a place they barely knew exist ;)
We had a adventurous time travelling to R T nagar as none of us knew the exact route .
Asking million people where “dinnur road” is we finally reached Unnati.
The word stunning would fall short to describe how kavya was looking .Her hair laid back in curls with a nice brown n green salwar teamed with a simple gold necklace, my my.Santhosh wat do I say about him , he just couldn’t stop smiling.
Both santhosh’s and kavya parents finally meet each other.
(dhoom ! dhomm , pathak…crackers bursting in the sky):P
The cherry on top was kavya’s mom singing a bhajan .
It clearly indicated she was happy and at the same time comfortable in her future son-in laws place.Happiness smiles everywhere.
After witnessing these wonderful moments we marched towards the lunch area .
My mouth waters thinking about it even today.
Finally the lunch gang remembers that they have to go back to office
The three hour extended lunch break was totally worth it!!
You may wonder why is there such a hype about this kavya and santhosh’s love story?
We are all surrounded with “couples” seeing each other quite some time , the definition of quite some time differs from few days to few years . But if two people are seeing each other from past 12 years? Thats a record to beat!
Either something is seriously wrong with them or maybe they are truly, madly crazily in love ( I think the second option holds true)
And seeing that beautiful relationship turn into the holy matrimony is sacred (we don’t get to see a lot of those these days).
It gives us a feeling that true love exists.
It also makes us believe that two people of this “current generation” can still tolerate each other and be very much in love even after 12 long years.
Somewhere deep inside all of us wish to find the perfect life partner like the way Kavya and santhosh have found in each other or the ones who already have wish their love too survives the test of time and becomes a lifetime commitment.
Not everyone is so lucky or fortunate to find the right person so early in life .
So kavya its time you share with us your magic potion :D
Sweetheart we wish you guys all the happiness in the world and a lifetime of togetherness:)
And as santhosh put it “ After 12 years of waiting..finally! Kavya Gowda is officially mine! :) It doesn't happen everyday that the first love of your life ends up as your wife!!! So looking forward to marrying and sharing the rest of my life with her!!”

PS: As for our daily gossip we have ample to talk about still…where to shop for wedding , were to go to eliminate unwanted ….(teeeeeee) , lol
